Last week Osprey delivered my advance copy of Romance of the Perilous Land and I've not stopped salivating since. It's such a lovely book, so I wanted to show some of it off.
I doubt the illustrator is racist. I can't imagine there were very many non-caucasians in the area at that time. Probably the races chosen are a reflection of historical realities (overwhelming majority white Europeans, with the occasional non-white inhabitant).
Just ordered my copy! This is the most excited that I have been for an RPG in a very long time. The book looks gorgeous from what little I've seen so far. Great work and thanks for it!
That looks beautiful! I can't wait for it to hit the shops.
ReplyDeleteIll be buying it for sure, just as I buy all your other stuff.
ReplyDeleteYou're a lovely person
DeleteJust curious, is it better for you if we pre-order or wait until release?
DeleteI don't think it makes any difference for me really
DeleteWhy are all the C6th Britons black? Shouldn't there be some Asian and Oriental C6th Britons too? Honestly, how racist....
ReplyDeleteI've had quite a few troll comments on this, so hard to tell if serious, but east Asians are represented in the book

ReplyDeleteThe design and illustration looks great – have ordered my copy!
