Marvel is letting you access 15000 comics for 99c, here's what you should be reading

To co-incide with the opening on San Diego Comic Con, Marvel is giving you a week to pay 99 cents to access 15,000 comics. That's a hell of a lot to read in a week - so where do you start? Well, I'm here to make it a little easier for newbies to dive in and start enjoying Marvel's back catalogue.

This is going to be a pretty self-indulgent post, but I'm feeling a little indulgent on this stupidly humid day. Today we're going to look at my top 10 TV shows ever. Don't forget to share yours in the comments, yo.

Cycling against cancer - please sponsor me

We take a break from our regularly scheduled program to bring you this message.

So my work is doing the entire Tour d'France (and then some) on exercise bikes and tonight it's my turn. I don't really like cycling, but it's for a good cause - combating cancer, that utter bastard.

I don't usually do this, but hey, it's for charity. I'd really appreciate the support of you guys by giving me a sponsor on our page https://www.justgiving.com/tourdepiphany/

I'd really appreciate anything you can give for this worthy cause. It doesn't have to be today, but this week would be amazing. Also, I'll be getting sweaty on a bike, which isn't my ideal evening, so take pity on me.

Thanks guys. You're the best.

5e character: Umara, destroyer of corruption

I've been waiting a while to do this, so let's get it done. Here is a completely randomly rolled character (aside from the attributes, for which I used an array). Unfortunately I rolled up a Human Fighter, which is pretty bland. However, their background came up Acolyte, which is actually pretty interesting.

Could the latest edition of D&D be the best yet?

Just before I went on holiday Wizards of the Coast dropped the free Basic D&D PDF for 5th edition, so I've had a bit of time to give it a read through. I was assuming it was almost going to be a quick play guide, but it was a nice surprise to see that it's a nice 110 pager chock full of stuff. Sure, it's not a complete game yet; Mearls has said that it will evolve as the core books are released later in the year, but ultimately we should end up with an entirely free game, which is great.
