What's happened to the Fighting Fantasy movie?

It's been just over a year since Wizard Publishing announced that a House of Hell movie is being made based on the Fighting Fantasy gamebook of the same name. But what the hell has become of the project?

The team behind the film, Superteam Films, has been ominously quiet since the flurry of web-based activity we were treated to in May/June last year when a couple of cast video diaries were uploaded onto the site.

The multimedia vision the enthusiastic team had/have is brilliant. It involves not only the movie, but an interactive blu-ray and a reality show. It could be that such a massive undertaking requires an insane amount of time dedicated to it and therefore nobody has updated the website, but after a year I would have expected at least a little more info.

The project oozes potential and I, along with many other fans, would hate to see it go to waste. I think I may contact them to check whether the film has gone into development hell (hollaah). If you have any information then let me know.

  1. I liked the gamebook very much--quite a clever solution that doesn't involve choosing one of the options given--thinking outside the box.

As for the movie, many (movies) are proposed, with a lesser number hitting the big screen. Not too surprising. Strange thing is I read somewhere that the gamebook was based on an old movie. Talk about coming full-circle.
