Avengers: Age of Ultron is the official title to the Avengers sequel

Marvel has announced that the next Avengers flick will be subtitled Age of Ultron, which gives us comic nerds a big clue as to what to expect from the film.

The follow-up to the 2012 record-breaker has so far had fans wondering whether Thanos would play a part, considering his post-credits appearance, so the Infinity Gauntlet storyline seemed like the most logical possibility.

But now we know that Ultron's going to be the main bad guy, which is also pretty logical because it was created by Hank Pym, aka Ant-Man, which is also coming to theatres.

In the comics Ultron is a robot artificial intelligence created by Pym - however it soon rebels against its creator and makes life difficult for the Avengers on a multiple occasions. Ultron rebuilds itself, making itself stronger. Ultron has many powers, including but not limited to an impenetrable adamantium shell, super strength, super speed, energy blasts, mind-control and the encephalo-ray, which puts victims into a coma. Ace.

Ultron's going to be a whole different kettle of fish to Loki and his army of aliens and I'm excited to see how it plays out.
