It looks like Marvel Studios just won Comic Con

I'm seeing reports flying hot from Comic Con's Hall H that Marvel Studios has won. Not only did they announce Avengers: Age of Ultron, but they gave the fans a whole boatload more goodness.

Guardians of the Galaxy may have only started shooting 10 days ago but Marvel still managed to treat the audience to a teaser trailer of the new film. Apparently it looks glorious. We also got to see the whole main cast: Michael Rooker as Yondu, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Hounsou as Borath, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Benicio Del Toro as the Collector, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Chris Pratt as Starlord.

Chris Pratt explained his character of Starlord:

"Starlord is like this guy who lives in space. He's kind of a jerk, he had a hard time as a kid, and now he goes around space making out with hot alien girls and kind of just being a rogue and a bit of a jerk. And through teaming up with these guys finds a higher purpose for himself which is to really care about... this family that he's found."

Next up, Hall H got to see some exclusive footage of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which appears to be very much a spy thriller/comic book funtime movie. Apparently there's a very cool scene in an elevator where Cap and Crossbones get fighty.

Finally, the denizens of Hall H were treated to a display by Loki himself when Tom Hiddleston dressed as the god of mischief berated the audience before receiving a chant of 'Loki, Loki, Loki'. Then footage from Thor: The Dark World was played.

According to io9:

"The new footage showcased something terrible and apocalyptic threatening Earth and Asgard. Thor goes to Loki for help, and says he wishes he could trust his brother. "If you did, you'd be the fool I always took you for," Loki responds. The Warriors Three threaten to kill Loki if he betrays Thor, and then Jane (Natalie Portman) gives him a smack. "That's for New York." "I like her," Loki says."

I can only imagine that a few people in that audience exploded after a panel like that. Time to step up your game, DC.
