The Trollish Delver Comic Book Club: Wolverine (1982)

I want to start something new on the blog, something that will encourage a little community banter, so I've decided to start The Trollish Delver Comic Book Club. Every month we will look at a comic story-arc and discuss it on the blog.
For August, in conjunction with the release of The Wolverine in theatres, we're reading the 1982 Wolverine miniseries by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller, collecting #1-4 of Wolverine. This is the series that really kicked Wolverine off and made him one of the most recognisable characters in comics. It's full of awesome Japanese action, femme fatales and ninja - it's a fantastic story.
The meeting will take place on Friday 23rd August here on The Trollish Delver. Happy reading!

I liked Frank Miller's take on Wolverine. Real gritty, more realistic. Looking forward to watching the movie.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm quite looking forward to it. Although it was Claremont, not Miller, who wrote Wolvie ;) it's a common mix-up
DeleteHi Scott,
ReplyDeleteWhat format is the meeting going to take? Comments to a blog post? Or maybe a Google Hangout?
Thanks!
Hey Jeffrey - it's going to be a comment thread on a blog post :)
DeleteCool; thanks for the reply! Looking forward to the 23rd.
